Overview

The Appetite Page controls which businesses our call team will target on your behalf. You can create custom searches based on specific criteria such as line of business, state, class codes, and more. This guide walks you through setting up these searches to ensure that our team contacts the right businesses according to your strategy.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create a Search

You can set up one or multiple searches depending on your outreach strategy. These searches define the parameters for the businesses you want our team to call.

  • Line of Business: First, select the line of business you’re focusing on. For example, if you’re targeting Workers' Compensation, select it from the drop-down. Each line comes with its own specific policy details.

    • For instance, selecting Auto will show you auto-specific details, while Workers' Comp will display related fields.

2. Select Your Target Area

  • State Selection: Choose the state(s) where you want to focus. For example, you can pick California if that's where you want to target businesses.

3. Refine by Class Codes

You can choose to either target businesses broadly or dial into specific class codes.

  • NAICS Codes: For example, you could narrow down to industries like drywall, painting, or flooring by selecting the relevant class codes.

  • Use this feature to tailor your outreach based on the industries most relevant to your services.

  • If you have SIC or another classification, we provide an easy to use search interface to find all of your corresponding NAICS codes.

4. Filter by Number of Employees and Vehicles

  • Specify the minimum and maximum number of employees you'd like to target. While this data isn’t available for all businesses before the call, it’s provided for a large portion of the data.

5. Policy Expiration Dates (X-Dates)

  • Days Out to Expiration: You can filter businesses by how far they are from their policy's renewal date. For example, if you want to target businesses renewing in the next 60 to 90 days, enter that range in the Days Out field. This is useful if you want to connect with businesses that are likely reviewing their insurance options soon.

6. Exclude Specific Carriers

If you don’t want to target businesses insured by specific carriers, use the carrier exclusion feature.

Attention Captive Agents!

You don't need to exclude your own carrier from the Appetite Menu. Go to your Settings Page to set your Primary Carrier and handle this automatically at a higher level.

7. Finalizing Your Search

After setting up your search criteria, these settings will guide our call team on who to target. If you switch to On-Demand Mode and begin making calls, the businesses matching your search criteria (e.g., class codes, states, etc.) will appear.

Additional Tips

  • If you're unsure about any settings or if something isn't working as expected, feel free to reach out via message for assistance.

  • Make sure to periodically review and update your searches as your targeting needs change.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can customize the exact parameters for which businesses our team should target, ensuring the most effective outreach strategy based on your preferences. Start setting up your searches and refine them as necessary to get the best results.
